Yeah, okay, so I am a little prejudiced, as I actually helped develop this line with Hector about 35 years ago!
Aumaris has earned the reputation as being the creator of some of the most beautiful Nautical ever made. Their custom work is a major part of their story.
Their custom work is a major part of the the companies business. When we started, over 35 years ago, the first nautical design we did was the Turks head ring. A month later I lost a chain bracelet I had, and asked Hector if he could create an exact duplicate of cable shin used to anchor ships. I went to a marine salvage business in San Pedro and bought 5 links of a ship’s cable chain (each link weighing about 20 pounds!!!) he created an exact duplicate in 4 sizes, for bracelets, necklaces, or ankle bracelets. When he completed the first one he dropped an ad in a couple sailing mags, and viola! A star was born!
Since I was about to set sail around the world back in 1993 I sold my half of the business to Hector, and ever since he has developed hundreds of great designs, and hundreds of custom pieces. We have continued to work together as friends ever since.

Jewelry from the heartHector was born the second child of a master jeweler and the one to inherit his legacy of craftsmanship that spanned two generations. Like his father before him, at age 16, he started his practice at his shop, where he passed his love of the craft to him. He embarked on an apprenticeship under his father, learning the jewelers’ art and family time-honored techniques he still employs today. Over the years, the rigors of his father’s training forged masterful design skills and an uncompromising work ethic rooted in hard work and perseverance.
