For over 20 years Jody & I have stayed at the El Cid Marina & Resort. The marina there is one of the safest in the Caribbean. The high rock breakwaters keep out the worst seas, and the accompanying resort is, well, it’s just a great resort.

In the early 2000’s we sponsored a number of New Years Parties, bringing in our own band, and we had special rates for our ”Cruise-in” sailors.
El Cid has been a part of our family for so many years that we just had my 80th Birthday there the week of March 10! And it was EPIC!
It is an excellent marina with first class management and security. The marina manager, Pepe, is an avid sailor and boater, and he treats his guests like family.
When you are there you can put up a credit card and you become a guest of the marina in the resort, where the meals are excellent, and the pools and resort area is just pain great. We especially like the swim up bar in the main pool where the water-park is just plain FUN!
This is a place where, once you stay, you are family! It’s an excellent place to leave your boat if you need to return home. One of the best and safest marina’s in the Caribbean.
